Headlsburg

How amazing is this pool?  Our weekend in Headlsburg was an absolute success and I know all the girls had a blast!  I am so honored to be part of Jill's big day and I know Jamaica is our next big adventure.

What an amazing group of friends I have and I feel so blessed to have met even more wonderful people this past weekend.  I am looking forward to getting to know some new ladies a bit more this week.

Apprentice

I love, love, love the new Apprentice.  Sometimes The Donald is so predictable, I knew the beauty queen wasn't out for good.  She was smart though, and I have to say she had some fierce women to compete with.

Good luck to them all...I can certainly relate.

Can't wait to see my girls tomorrow...packing was crazy, but I got everything to fit : )

Time to collaborate with Cassandra

I have been a brunette for exactly a week now and love it!  As promised, I am updating the status of my Allure letter.  I am meeting up with my fab colorist/stylist Cassandra Lacey Coats today of Steven Paul Salon in Scottsdale.  She is making me lunch (so sweet) and we are going to work on our strategy to get Cassie and Liz into the Allure Directory.

Steven Paul is a great salon, I love it.  I get my hair done there, I get my facials done there (shout out to Jessica Smith, the best wax specialist around), have lunch with friends, and shop for the latest trends.  I hope we can show the rest of the beauty world what an amazing place it is.

I may just ask Cassie to style my hair today with Oribe products, then send the picture via Twitter to the man himself.

Looks like someone hasn't been keeping her promise...

So maybe setting a goal of one entry a day was a little extreme.  Here is today what I am loving today...

Freakonomics!  This book is so interesting, my goal is to finish before the movie comes out.  I am not sure the date, but IMDb says "coming soon" so I should be good to go.

Relief!

This is an amazing morning in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona.  The weather is a mere 80 degrees:)  When I finish breakfast I am going to slather on the sunscreen (wait I should do that first so it will work properly-30 minutes prior to exposure) and then head out for a long walk with Brie bear.  I so hope it stays like this for a little bit longer!!!!

Go Hawks!!!!  Can't wait for the game tomorrow and a new place to get together with friends, Kinnicks!

I made a commitment to write daily and I missed yesterday, but I have a good excuse!  Our Wi-fi was not working when I got home from my hair appointment yesterday!  So here is what I was going to say...

Why I love Allure Magazine so much

There are so many reasons why I love this magazine, most recently because they responded to a Facebook post made by me.  I have a great salon in Scottsdale, AZ and I really wanted to find out how to get them into the Allure Directory.  I have been trying to get Allure's attention for about a week or so via Twitter and Facebook.  They responded today via Facebook and I am good to go.  Above and beyond the fact I have an answer, I am happiest about the fact that they responded!  Facebook and  Twitter are more than just an advertising tool, they should engage and involve the customer.  Customers want to know they matter and with such an easy way to find out if companies are paying attention, they (companies) have a lot to live up to when it comes to customer service.
